DIRETSANG sinabi ni ACT Teachers Partylist Rep France Castro na ratings lamang ang hangad ng programa ni Raffy Tulfo na ‘Raffy Tulfo in Action’ at hindi para tulungan ang mga taong lumalapit sa kanilang programa.

Kasabay nito ay binatikos ni Castro ang ginawang pambabastos ni Tulfo sa inireklamong guro na agad umanong hinatulang guilty at nilabag ang kanyang karapatan sa privacy at due process sa ngalan ng makakuha ng ratings ang show.

Ayon kay Castro trial by publicity lamang ang nangyayari sa programa ni Tulfo at hindi naman nareresolba ang mga reklamo dahil hindi ito dumaan sa tamang proseso.

“The teacher was publicly ridiculed and was denied of her rights to privacy and due process in the airing of the episode. We deplore the actions of the said program which only helps their ratings instead of addressing the concerns of those who approach their program.Complaints should be resolved and responsibility of parties, if any, will be achieved through the proper grievance mechanisms and processes. Undue disclosure has no other aim except trial by publicity, without resolving complaints,” paliwanag ni Castro.

Patutsada pa ni Castro kay Tulfo na proteksyon ang kailangan ng mga guro at hindi trial by publicity.

Kasabay nito, hiniling ni Castro sa Kamara na agad nang ipasa ang House Bill 220 o Teachers Protection Act.

Kung mahalaga umano ang Child Protection ay ganun din ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng Teachers Protection lalo na sa araw araw na hirap na dinaranas ng mga guro sa pangangasiwa sa malaking bilang ng mga estudyante sa loob ng classroom.
